The established working group of industry professionals and academia quickly established that motorsport would have a role to play and the debate shifted on how this could be achieved. The working group was divided into two separate groups, one looking to short-term solutions, and the other looking for longer-term implications. As a result, this report contains several proposals that should be considered in a sequential order. The reminder of the report focuses on the need for and possibilities of accelerating the development and mass popularisation of energy efficient technologies through motorsport. This report has been prepared to stimulate debate, discussion and further comment.
